What Is A Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coatings are a Hydrophobic coating that uses silica technology to chemically bond with a factory clear coat and provide a layer of protection that is more permanent and resilient than wax or other polymers. This creates a scratch-resistant, impenetrable layer of protection over your clear coat.

The Sio2 technology provides your vehicle’s paint with hydrophobic properties, meaning water beads up and slides right off your paint. This causes the water to encapsulate dirt and roll off the surface, giving the ceramic coating a “self-cleaning” effect. The hydrophobic effect allows for much safer and easier maintenance, as the glass-like coating leaves nowhere for the contaminants to stick.
